The Charity’s primary aim is to render assistance to orphaned children in Sri Lanka with a secondary aim to help family widows become self-sufficient. The principal beneficiaries are vulnerable children and family widows.

Story

Enhancing the lives of special needs/Autistic children in Sri Lanka, and transforming the lives of vulnerable community in the up counties with secure roof.

Sincere urgent request from the Founder of Serendip Charity. Ms Trisha Williamson to raise the total of £12,500.00 for both projects.

Serendip Children's Home was established out of compassion and hope after the tumultuous civil war that had shaken the nation in 2009. Led by a dedicated team, this registered charity (Charity Commission No. 1133461) had a profound mission - to uplift the most vulnerable families in Sri Lanka's North, East, and up country.Among the families they sought to support were women-headed households and vulnerable children, who faced unimaginable hardships and poverty. In a world where government aid fell short,

Serendip's work became a beacon of light for those who suffered in silence.Today, the Children's Home had two urgent and vital projects that called for the power of kindness and generosity:

1. Support for Autistic and Special Needs Children: Their dream was to establish an Autism Centre, a place of healing and growth. At the heart of this initiative was a weekly clinic dedicated to children with autism and special needs. Here, little souls would receive the assessments, diagnoses, and personalized intervention plans they needed to thrive. To make this dream a reality, they needed £5,000 in funding to welcome occupational and behavioral therapists, as well as speech and language experts, who would leave no stone unturned in guiding these children towards a brighter future.

2. Roof Replacements in the Hill-Country: Far away, in the hilly regions of Badulai and Monarakala districts, a different kind of struggle unfolded. Widowed women, elderly individuals living alone, families with children, and those with special needs all faced a common fear - their homes were on the brink of collapse. Dilapidated roofs and cracked walls were constant reminders of the suffering they endured. Serendip knew they had to act swiftly. Their ambitious goal of £7,500 sought to repair floors and replace roofs in 50 homes, bringing safety and hope to the doorsteps of these marginalized communities.

Serendip Children's Home is reaching out to the kind-hearted people like you for your generosity to fulfill these noble projects.

We know that we can create a brighter and more secure future for those who needed it most.

We are waiting for the compassionate hearts to join hands and make a profound difference in the lives of these vulnerable individuals and families.

Thank you for your support

Kind Regards
