I am proud to be fundraising for HCPT (The Pilgrimage Trust), a remarkable charity that has been transforming lives for over 70 years by taking disabled and disadvantaged children on a life-changing holiday to Lourdes in the south of France.

This year, Dave, Steve B and Pavel are participating in the Run Plymouth Half Marathon on 17 May 2026 to raise funds for Group 150, based in Plymouth and supported by the Royal Navy community. Each year, this group provides children who might never have the chance to travel abroad with a week filled with friendship, fun, laughter, and unforgettable memories. For many of these children, this is truly the highlight of their year.

The week in Lourdes is so much more than just a holiday. It offers these children an opportunity to build confidence, forge lasting friendships, and simply be themselves within a safe, supportive, and joyful environment. From playing games on the prairie and singing together to sharing special moments of reflection at the Grotto, every experience is designed to create meaningful memories that stay with them long after they return home.

However, this incredible opportunity comes at a cost. Each place on the pilgrimage must be funded through fundraising efforts and generous supporters like you. By contributing today towards our target of £500, you will help Group 150 continue providing these life-changing experiences for children who need it most.
