adidas Manchester Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

I’m Lydia,

I will be running the Manchester Marathon 2025 in memory of my auntie Sue, who I suddenly lost in 2016 who died from a stroke. My life after losing my auntie was devastating on me and my family and 8 years on I am running for the charity ‘Stroke association’

This is so that people can have a chance of rebuilding their lives and so that their families won’t suffer like mine did from a stroke.

100,000 people who have a stroke each year. The lifespan after having any type of stroke is expected to have a 5.5 year reduction in life expectancy. Life after suffering a stroke can be difficult and painful and the recovery process is slow.

Each one of your donations whether it is big or small is very appreciated and will be to loved ones who are the family or friends whom have seen a loved one have a stroke or are a survivor.

Lots of love

Lydia 💓💓
