We sadly know close friends and family who have lost their dear little babies, and then in 2023 we lost our son Atlas, followed by another loss of our other wee one in 2024. It has been heartbreaking to have never seen our two little babies grow up, nor have they got to enjoy the company of their sisters, but throughout it all, we have been thankful of charities like Sands supporting us, and other bereaved families. It is close to our heart to promote awareness and remember our wee ones, and help in anyway we can to fund research and support families so that we can work towards reducing the death of a baby. Please sponsor me doing this 20-mile hike in memory of all our beloved babies, and I hope to participate in many more fundraising events to help Sands in their essential mission.

Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, operates across the UK: supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby; working in partnership with health professionals to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care; and promoting improvements in practice and funding research that could help to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.
