Ian and I will be walking the Camino Frances over Easter as a sponsored walk in support of USPG's Refugee Appeal in anticipation of the life we will start together. This is more than a physical challenge to us. It is a journey shaped by a simple profound truth found throughout Scripture-that we are all sojourners-called to welcome the stranger and love our neighbour. This pilgrimage is our way of bearing witness to that calling.

“The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt” (Leviticus 19:34).

The Camino invites us to live this truth -to walk as strangers, dependent on the kindness of others, carrying only what we need, and learning again what it means to trust, to receive, and to belong.
