In March 2020, my Dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer. My mum and I cared for him throughout his illness but sadly after 8 long months of operations and treatment he lost his fight and passed away on 29 November 2020.

On 1 October 2024, I launched my new online coaching and personal training business called Lyft with Larry in memory of my Dad. Without him I would never have started my fitness journey in the first place let alone become a coach myself. He made me appreciate how precious life is and that living a healthier lifestyle is important.

So I’ve decided to do my first ultra 50km walk to give something back in his memory.

On 11 October 2025, I will be taking part in the South Downs 50km ultra challenge hopefully with a team of willing participants. I’ve never done anything like this before, I’m really excited about it and will be training hard in the months leading up to it.
