This is the year I turn 70, which is weird as it seems no time at all since I was celebrating my fortieth. But here we are!

I've been wittering on for years about doing a Wing Walk. It looks fun - and if you can't have fun when you're seventy, when can you?

So, I've taken the plunge and I'm doing a Wing Walk at Compton Abbas Airfield on 2nd October 2026 and I'm really looking forward to it.

I don't need any more 'stuff' for my special birthday but I'd love to raise some money for a good cause so if you fancy donating to this madcap idea for my 70th, please do! The cost of the Wing Walk has been covered so all money raised will go directly to The Brain Tumour Charity.

My parents both died from brain tumours and a close friend is currently living with one. Brain cancer is underfunded compared with other types of cancer but its consequences are devastating. I would love to be able to help the charity's work.
