Lynds' fundraiser for Alzheimer's Society

Connor Lynds is raising money for Alzheimer's Society

Kent Downs 50 Ultra Challenge 2026 · 10 October 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

My nan has taken care of herself her entire life, she ate healthy, went on daily walks, and never smoked.

In the span of 6 months, I have witnessed a once kind, caring and full of life woman, become an incoherent shell of her former self, all due to dementia.

I've never been much of an empathetic person, but when it hits this close to home and affects someone you care about so deeply, It's devastating.

To try and help her, as well as the 10 million people diagnosed with dementia each year, I will be going from sitting at a desk all day, to running/jogging/walking (even crawling) my way to the Kent Downs 50k Ultra Marathon for Alzheimer's Society.

Any donation, no matter big or small, is greatly appreciated and will go a long way to helping Alzheimer's Society work towards a world where this terrible disease no longer ruins lives.

I WILL cross the finish line. For her.

Thankyou
