Lyndsay and Levi's fundraiser for Stuart's AAC Device

Lyndsay Atkinson-Swales is raising money for St Anne's Community Services
St Anne’s Community Services provides a wide range of quality services for people who require support for one or more reasons. We work with people who have a learning disability, have mental health problems, have issues around substance use - drugs and/or alcohol - or who are or have been homeless. Services include a variety of housing & accommodation based support and care, day services and community based support. St Anne’s Community Services is a major provider of services across the whole of Yorkshire & the North East. As a charity St Anne’s Community Services promotes independence and support clients to enhance their abilities and skills in order that they can take a more active role in the community. We work in consultation with clients, their families, advocates and other professionals to create a unique ‘Person Centred Plan’. This plan sets objectives which reflects the individual goals and aspirations of clients and sets out the support required to meet these..

Story

In a world where communication is key, there are individuals who face challenges that many of us cannot imagine. One such individual is a remarkable person who wants to continue to express their thoughts, feelings, and ideas freely.

We are raising funds for an AAC device that will empower Stuart to communicate on their own terms. This device is not just a tool; it represents independence, connection, and the ability to share their unique voice with the world.

With your support, we aim to raise £1,000 for Stuart's device. Every contribution brings us closer to providing this essential resource that will change Stuart's life and foster meaningful relationships. Together, let’s make a difference.

Myself and my nephew Levi (pictured) will be joining the Boxing Day dip in Whitby. We will be jumping into the North Sea to raise money for this vital piece of equipment for Stuart.
