Lynn's fundraiser for Believe - Organ Donor Support

Lynn Morgan is raising money for Believe - Organ Donor Support

Tandem Skydive · 1 August 2026

The charity was set up by Anna Louise Bates in loving memory of her husband, Stuart and her son, Fraser (Bear) Bates to raise awareness and provide education on the subject of organ donation as well as supporting those impacted via the Fraser fund.

Story

On the 1st August 2026 I will be jumping from a plane at 15,000 Ft in a Tandem Skydive. This will be to raise money for 'Believe - Organ Donor Support'.

Why would I be doing such a crazy thing?? As you are probably aware my Husband Brian needs an urgent double lung transplant.

Brian was diagnosed with Pulmonary fibrosis some 4 years ago, which, until 9 months ago remained stable, but in the blink of an eye our world turned upside down with all our plans crashing down around us, and any future plans left in uncertainty. Without warning, his oxygen levels and breathlessness suddenly plummeted, now he struggles each day, using oxygen tanks to help him breath and support vital organs.

There is no cure for Pulmonary Fibrosis, a double lung transplant the only hope of a future.

On our new journey into the unknown we became aware of 'Believe', which is a small charity set up in December 2015 by Anna-Louise Bates who tragically lost her Husband Stuart, and 7 year old Son Fraser in a road traffic collision in Talbot Green, South Wales. Anna-Louise made the brave decision to donate Fraser's organs which saved the lives of four critically ill people.

The charity's focus is to support people who have been affected by organ Donation and let them know that they are there for them. The  charity's mission is to educate and help spread the word on organ donation, support those people involved and break down the taboo around organ donation to get people talking.

Even if you have made a decision about whether to donate or not, it is vital this decision is discussed with loved ones. Every year 100’s of transplant opportunities are missed simply because relatives do not know what their loved one’s wishes were; they will get to make the final decision as to whether they will donate your organs, so please, have the discussion with them to make them aware of your wishes.

Please help me to help 'Believe' carry out their mission to educate and help spread the word on organ donation, and support those affected. I am self funding the Skydive, so every penny raised will go directly to the charity.
