Story
As you most likely know, I have worked for Change Mental Health for the last 4 and a half years. At a time where statutory mental health services are stretched to the limits, people are finding themselves unable to access support at a time when they need it most. People are relying on support from third sector services and we are seeing a massive increase in referrals. Unfortunately funding pots are being tightened too.
I have decided to push myself out my comfort zone and join the May Munro Challenge! Climbing my first Munro to not only fundraise for our charity, but also raise awareness of the challenges people are facing and the services we offer across Scotland. I've climbed Falkland Hill before, can't be much harder than that right?
And as I definitely can't be left alone to wander up the "hill", my fabulous friend, Louise, is joining me in the trek! What could possibly go wrong?! (No wine will be involved.....until afterwards, perhaps!)
Life is not linear and the people that Change MH support could be any one of us at any time. The effects of mental illness and poor mental health can be and often are, wide reaching. It can have a devastating impact on not only individuals affected, but whole families.

Please support us by donating to our Just Giving page if you can. Any money we raise in Fife, will stay in Fife to help support those who need it and help work towards a future where no-one faces mental illness alone.
