#TeamDoddie at Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon

Lynne Towns is raising money for My Name'5 Doddie Foundation

Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon 2025 · 11 May 2025 ·

Through the streets of Leeds, taking in some of the city's most scenic countryside and outer suburbs. The Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon and Half Marathon are a fitting tribute to the city that launched Rob’s rugby career and which he calls home.

Story

So, I’ve taken the plunge and entered another marathon! With a bit of persuasion from my friend Clare and to mark 20 years since I first started running, we are taking part in the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon. Seen as I am going to all this effort, it’s a good opportunity to raise some money for a very good cause. As it’s the Rob Burrow Marathon then it has to be for MND and, as a Scottish quine raising money for MND, it has to be for Doddie! So, for Rob, Doddie and my Cooncil friend Ian who is currently putting up a dam good fight to this cruel disease, I’m running the marathon in aid of the 'My Name’5 Doddie Foundation'. I’d be very grateful if you could spare a few pounds for this wonderful charity and to encourage me round the 26.2 miles!

Thank you for your support with my challenge. Together we can help to improve the lives of those suffering with this horrible disease and one day find a cure.

My page donations will be sent direct to My Name'5 Doddie Foundation in a fast and secure way. Its efficient, saves time and cuts costs for the charity. Let's do this!
