Story
My family and I will be taking part in the Walk to Beat Blood Cancer on September 3rd in memory of our mum, Elizabeth, and the 20th anniversary of her passing.
After two years of fighting thyroid cancer and getting the all clear, she then contracted a rare form of blood cancer only weeks later (it turned out to be a side effect of the treatment she was given for the thyroid cancer) and passed away suddenly and unexpectedly before anything could be done.
This devastated our family and we feel her loss deeply, and why we think it is so important to continue to raise awareness of leukaemia and other forms of cancer so other families can be spared what we went through.
We appreciate all the support and any donations, big or small are gratefully received. Thank you ❤️ xx
