Story
I'm proud to be running the London Half Marathon for Shine.
Since the age of 10 I have been living with Hydrocephalus commonly known as water on the brain which was caused by a benign brain tumour, which I still live with today.
In the UK, it's estimated that around 1 in every 1,000 babies are born with hydrocephalus which can be an extremely difficult and worrying time for parents.
With personal experience of this condition I want to bring hope to those families just starting out on this journey that you can live a wonderful and fulfilling life whilst living with hydrocephalus.
Shine provides specialist support from before birth and throughout the life of anyone living with hydrocephalus, as well as to parents, families, carers and professional care staff. Shine enables people to get the best out of life.
THANK YOU for supporting me and Shine!
