Story
Walking from Buckley to Buckie for 1st Broughton Scout Group
My name is Mark, and I have been a Scout Leader for over 20 years. Recently, I also took on the roles of Joint Group Lead Volunteer at 1st Broughton Scout Group in North Wales and District Cubs Programme Lead.
To support the future of Scouting in our community, I will be undertaking an ambitious walking challenge: travelling from Buckley, North Wales, to Buckie in Northeast Scotland, walking as many miles as I can, starting on 31st July 2026.
The aim of this challenge is to raise much-needed funds for 1st Broughton Scout Group. The money raised will help us maintain and improve our Scout Hut, upgrade essential equipment, and enhance the opportunities we can offer to young people.
Scouting provides young people with the chance to develop confidence, resilience, teamwork, leadership, and practical skills for life. By supporting this challenge, you will be helping us continue to deliver these valuable experiences and expand what we can offer to current and future members.
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference and help ensure that local young people can continue to enjoy the adventures, learning opportunities, and personal development that Scouting provides.
Thank you for your support.
