Both my sister, Alison and my niece, Charlotte - two amazing women - have gone through cancer treatments recently. Their positive attitude and 'can do' approach prompted me to take action. So when the opportunity arose to abseil down such an iconic building in aid of the Maggie's Centres, I could not resist the challenge.

They have come through but others in my wider family have not. The support offered by Maggie's not only to those with cancer but to family and friends is invaluable.
