Holding the Miss East Belfast title is privilege. To have a platform not just alongside Miss Northern Ireland but Miss World gives me the opportunity to use my space for good.

The heart of Miss World is Beauty With A Purpose, as many of you may know just last year my family discovered that my mum, the life of everyones party had a rare birth defect known as a Chiari Malformation.

Over the past number of weeks I have been working hard to put together an exciting event to raise awareness and help other families who may be affected by this neurological defect.

A huge part of dealing with neurological problems is remaining active and healthy! Coming from a sporty family it only felt right to host a football match in aid of the Syringomelia Arnold Chiari Association (SACA) as my chosen charity for my Beauty With A Purpose initiative.
