As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa raḥmatullāh,
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Oldham Madani Academy is appealing to our community this Ramadan to help clear the remaining £115,000 owed in Karz-e-Hasna (interest-free loans) that were taken to complete the much-needed extension of our masjid.
These were not bank loans. They were trusts given by local businesses and community members who stepped forward to help establish and expand the House of Allah for the benefit of everyone.
Alḥamdulillāh, the masjid is now serving worshippers daily, with prayers, education, and community activities. However, we now carry the responsibility to repay this amanah.
This Ramadan is our opportunity to clear this debt together.
Your donation will help:
• Repay those who supported the masjid through interest-free loans
• Relieve the masjid of financial burden
• Secure the future of this vital place of worship for generations to come.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “When a person dies, their deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity (Ṣadaqah Jāriyah), beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.” (Muslim)
He ﷺ also said: “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”
By helping us clear this debt, you are participating in a continuous charity that supports every prayer, every lesson, and every moment of remembrance that takes place within these walls.
