Maddie's fundraiser for FARMS FOR CITY CHILDREN

Maddie Scrafton is raising money for FARMS FOR CITY CHILDREN

Team: Tour De Farms 2025

CPU Tour de Farms 2025 · 25 September 2025

Founded in 1976 by children’s author Michael Morpurgo and his wife Clare, our three farms welcome 3000 children and young people each year. As a registered charity we believe every young person, regardless of background, deserves an opportunity to take home the benefits of being farmers for a week.

Story

Hello!! Very excited to be part of this Computershare group challenge on behalf of such a positive charity. I know how much my two boys (and I) benefit from being out in the countryside so its great that Farms for City Children give kids the opportunity to get into the big outdoors!!

We'll be cycling through the Gloucestershire, Somerset and Devon (hilly!!) countryside, 260k over 2 days which is going to be a bit of a challenge as I haven't been on a bike for 7 years. Yikes...

Really appreciate any donations (or just messages of support!)

Thank you :)

A bit about Farms for City Children

They offer a transformative experience for children and young people to access an immersive farm residential and become farmers for a week, with rewards that last long after they have returned home. During a five-day school or group visit to one of the stunning farms in Devon, Gloucestershire or Pembrokeshire, children and young people thrive. The holistic programme enhances learning, nurtures wellbeing and builds transferable skills as our young farmers grow lasting connections with food, farming and each other.
