Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page! I'm running the 2026 London Marathon to support the MS Society and those who live with MS, particularly in honour of my dad, Tim! 🧡

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable condition that affects your brain and spinal cord. In MS, the coating that protects your nerves (myelin) is damaged. This causes a range of symptoms like blurred vision and problems with how we move, think and feel.

In 2022, my dad was diagnosed with MS which sent shockwaves into his life, breaking our hearts as a family. Since then, he has been enduring his ever-growing list of symptoms affecting his everyday life, slowly taking away opportunities that he deserves to have. If you know my dad, you would know that he always sees the positive in situations no matter what, whilst never complaining, and always manages to light up whichever room he enters. Right now, he is having to put on a brave face more than ever. I am so immensely proud to call Tim my dad, he is described to me by others as nothing but a LEGEND and I know that first-hand already from being his lucky daughter growing up. If he, alongside thousands of others diagnosed with MS each year, can live and smile through this lifelong sentence, then I can definitely train and run the London Marathon!

More than 150,000 people in the UK have MS. Once diagnosed, MS stays with you for life, but treatments and specialists can help you to manage the condition and its symptoms.

The MS Society is here to help everyone live well with MS.

Every year they reach thousands of people with help and support through their MS Helpline and local groups. They campaign on the issues that matter most to the MS community. And they invest in ground-breaking research to stop MS in its tracks.

Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.
