Nicole and I are raising money in memory of my wonderful dad who sadly passed away in June 2023. He was a determined, adventurous man with a quick witted sense of humour and a never-ending joie de vivre - all traits he still carried with him in the years after he was diagnosed with the neurological disorder CIDP and later with blood cancer.

Dad was also a sporty man from a young age, completing various ultra marathons on foot as well as in a canoe (?!), and was always a keen cyclist, but it became one of his biggest passions later in life (and therefore so did hiding the number of bikes he had from mum…). Nicole and I thought it was a fitting challenge to cycle the length of the UK in his honour, and raise money for the wards and staff at St George’s Hospital who cared for dad with empathy and dedication.
