Story
In September 2026 I will be swimming from England to France as part of a four-person relay team, raising money for the Rosemary Foundation in memory of my granny, Judith.
The Rosemary Foundation are a small local charity based in Petersfield, Hampshire. When my granny was diagnosed with cancer in 2025 and given only a very short time to live, the Rosemary Foundation nurses were there to help. They supported my family and I to care for my granny in her own home. Doing so meant that we were able to spend as much time with granny as possible, and she was surrounded by family, friends, and the comfort of home in the final weeks of her life.
Caring for my granny in the weeks before she died was incredibly special, and I am so grateful that this was possible with the support of the Rosemary Foundation.
The Channel will be my biggest challenge ever - it's exciting and terrifying in equal measure! I know that when I'm scared of swimming in the dark, being stung my jellyfish, or battling the waves, my granny's memory and everyone's support for this fantastic cause will get me through!
Thanks so much for reading, and for any amount you choose to give. It will mean a lot to me and to the people whose families are supported in future by the Rosemary Foundation.
