Story
Both my Gran and Granfer have sadly lost their lives to Alzheimer’s. Despite living with dementia for around 12 years, my Granfer continued to run races, and in later years raised money himself for Alzheimer’s Society. After he died I continued to run in his memory and with my Grans help, we also continued to raise money. With Gran now gone too, our commitment as a family to this charity is twofold, and I’ll be running and raising money in their memory in the hope that one day we will find a cure of Alzheimer’s. The London Marathon has long been a goal of mine, I only hope to do Gran and Granfer proud in the process.
Thank you for taking the time to have a look at my page. The target for this event is the biggest I’ve ever had, support of any kind is greatly appreciated!
All the best, Maddy 💛
At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.
We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.
