Story
Since North London Hospice first opened its doors on Woodside Avenue, Finchley, Maddy has been there offering a helping hand and a friendly smile. Many decades later, she still gives up her time to support both one of their shops and the reception desk for the Inpatient Unit.
It's fair to say that the hospice - which serves the London boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey and supports over 3,500 patients and their families across every year - is a cause extremely close to Maddy's heart. So, when the charity launched its first ever Cold Water Dip, Maddy was keen to assist. This time in the form of five family members.
Somehow, Will, Casey, Jonathan, Lucas and Bea have been convinced to face the freeze and take on the coolest challenge around. On 28 February, at Parliament Hill Lido, they will be collectively taking the icy plunge to help raise vital funds.
The money raised will be used for North London Hospice’s programme of work to ensure ‘The best of life, at the end of life, for everyone’. All the hospice's services are offered free of charge and the hospice relies on donations to keep it running every year.
By supporting Maddy’s family in this chilly challenge, you’re helping the hospice continue its incredible work for families when they need it most. No matter the size, your donation brings comfort, care and support to those who need it. Thank you for joining us in turning a freezing family challenge into something truly meaningful.
