Please join us on Saturday the 20th April 2024 at Lockleaze Sports Centre to remember Maddy Lawrence through the love of rugby.

In March 2022 Maddy sadly passed away after suffering a rugby injury. Maddy was the light in every room filling our lives with so much joy. We as UWE Women's Rugby set up an annual charity event to remember the beautiful Maddy and to raise awareness and funds for the charity set up in her honour, Maddy's mark.

Maddy's Mark promotes positive mental health and wellbeing in young women through the amazing sport of rugby, highlighting two things Maddy felt so passionately about.

Maddy's Match will consist of two rugby matches: UWE Women's Rugby current vs alumni and UWE Men's Rugby leavers vs stayers. There will also be a half time performance from the amazing UWE Comets, plus a raffle, cake sale, guess the name of the teddy and so much more activities to get involved with on the day!

We dearly miss Maddy and as a club UWE Women's Rugby are committed to keeping her wonderful spirit alive.
