AOTB - Scotland-to-Zambia Challenge

Madeleine Phillips is raising money for Africa on the Ball
What if every kilometre you covered could change a life in one of the poorest countries in the world? Join us in an extraordinary challenge as we attempt to collectively cover 11,000km - the distance from Scotland to Zambia.

Story

Hi, I’m Maddie, and this spring I’m supporting Africa on the Ball (AOTB) while training for the Edinburgh Half Marathon on May 24th.

In March, I’m taking part in a collective challenge with AOTB to cover 11,000 km - the distance from Scotland to Zambia.

AOTB is an international sport-for-development charity that uses football to improve education, healthcare, inclusivity, and enterprise in disadvantaged communities across Africa.

With your support, AOTB provides scholarships that help young people stay in school and access better employment opportunities. £240 can fund a child through school for an entire year, which is exactly what I’m hoping to raise this month.

Every run I complete while training will contribute kilometres toward our 11,000 km journey. If you’re able to donate, every contribution will help create opportunities and positive change for young people.

Thank you so much for your support!
