I was fortunate enough to go to prom my freshman year in high school, and it was an amazing experience. I will never forget how beautiful and confident I felt at prom!

When choosing my Gold Award project, I thought back to that experience, and how I fortunate I was to have that. Not all girls have that opportunity. So, I choose to host a Prom Closet in my community to help ALL girls go to prom!

My team and I will be collecting, repairing, and cleaning donated formal wear and accessories. An event will be hosted in the Spring of '25 where all high school students are invited to attend and shop for the dress of their dreams, free of charge! My team will include seamstresses, hair dressers, and fashion volunteers who will be on hand at the event to help all participants look and feel their best!

How can YOU get involved? There are many ways! Such as donating formal wear, sponsor dry cleaning of a dress (or two!), or even volunteering your time at the event or just hit the "give now!"
