As we approach Christmas, we are all getting excited for what the festive season might bring, but it is also an important time to think of others.

We have decided as a school to support the efforts of the Maidstone Churches Winter Shelter this year. This an important local charity that opens its doors to homeless people from December to March, offering them a warm bed and food, along with support and signposting to help them in their onward journeys.

As we do every year, Madginford School will hold its Christmas Jumper Day on 18th December. On this day, Children and staff are invited to wear festive clothes. However, this year we invite families to make a voluntary donation to the Winter Shelter. Any amount is appreciated, and will be vital to the work that the shelter do.
