Story

Hello and thank you for visiting my JustGiving page. On 1 August 2026, I will be taking on the North Downs 50 Ultra Challenge, a 50K walk, to raise funds for Make 2nds Count.
In June 2025, I was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer, a form of cancer that has spread beyond the breast to other parts of the body. Before my diagnosis, I was very active; however, the disease left me unable to get out of bed due to severe back pain and widespread tumour spread. Thanks to an incredible oncology team and a remarkable response to treatment, I am now able to be active again. This journey has inspired me to live life fully and make every moment count.
I want to use this opportunity not only to stay well by keeping fit but also to support others facing this challenging diagnosis. Over 61,000 people in the UK live with secondary breast cancer—one of the leading causes of death among women under 50. Despite its impact, there are very few charities dedicated specifically to supporting those affected by this incurable disease.
Make 2nds Count is a unique charity founded by patients and breast oncologists committed to improving lives through local support groups, an annual patient summit, and a clinical trials matching service. Their work is vital in providing hope and community for those living with secondary breast cancer.
I am aiming to raise £2000 for Make 2nds Count. Your support will help fund essential services that make a real difference in patients’ lives.
Just £20 will fund resources to support young women and their children through a cancer diagnosis
Just £30 will fund an appointment with a clinical trials nurse to match patients to UK clinical trials

Please join me in making every second count by donating today—together we can bring hope and strength where it is needed most.
