Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page.
I am fundraising for The Children's Trust because in October 2021, I suffered a bleed on my brain. I had surgery at Addenbrookes hospital where I then spent 6 weeks recovering before being referred to the Children's Trust rehabilitation hospital in Tadworth, where my recovery continued.
The staff at the Children's Trust were amazing and with their help and support with neurorehabilitation, speech and language therapy, physiotherapy and occupational therapy, I progressed so much that after a short stay I was able to come home and spend Christmas with my family.
This was obviously a terrifying time for me and my family and we all feel so very lucky that we were given the opportunity to receive the care at Tadworth and with the support of the staff there, family and friends and of course a lot of hard work, strength and determination I have made a full recovery.
I will be forever grateful to the Children's Trust for everything that they have done for me and my family to help us through this terrible time which is why I will be joining their "40 miles in March" fundraising event where I plan to walk 40 miles across the month of March.
Raising funds for this charity will mean that they can continue to help and support other families and children with brain injuries.
Thank you for your support
