Story
In April myself and a few on my friends will be taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon.
I know what you’re thinking, ‘you… a half marathon, NO’. But you heard correctly, for the very first time, I will be taking my long gangly legs on a 13.1 mile mission. This is not only to prove to myself that I can achieve something I never thought possible, but also to raise money for a Life Chance Trust.
Life Chance Trust is a small charity who aim to Empower young people after childhood trauma by building their confidence, resilience, motivations, skills and networks to realise their potential. They provide support through specialist mentoring and coaching, well-being and life skills support as well as practical help and advocacy. As this is a small charity, your money can really go a long way and change individual lives.
Working with vulnerable adults daily, this charity offers powerful preventative services that supports young adults to set a path for themselves that brings happiness and hope. Without this, young adults are often left to manage independently after trauma with no guiding voice.
If you could please support in any way possible, it would be very much appreciated. Either for the charity or to have a laugh watching me pretend to be a runner.
Much love,
Madison (Usain Bolt) Gillborn
