Mae’s Big Hair Cut for Little Princess Trust 💞

Samantha Hoey is raising money for Little Princess Trust

Hair Cut · 19 February 2026

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

Hello everyone,

We’re fundraising on behalf of our daughter, Mae, who is 6 years old.

At the start of last year, Mae made the decision to grow her hair so that it could be cut and donated to The Little Princess Trust. She wants to help children who are poorly or who have conditions that mean their hair doesn’t grow, and to help put a smile on their faces during a very difficult time.

Mae is incredibly proud of what she’s doing and is excited (and a little nervous!) to have her hair cut and donated.

She is booked in with Lesley at Haircraft on Thursday 19th February 2026, where her long hair will be cut and donated ✂️

Any donation, big or small, would mean the world to Mae and will help make a real difference to children who need it most.

What your donations can help provide:

£150 – Pays for a professional wig fitting

£550 – The cost of making one wig

£700 – The cost of providing one wig to a child

£1,000 – Helps fund new drugs for research testing

£10,000 – Helps measure long-term effects of drugs on children

Thank you so much for supporting Mae and helping her turn kindness into action 💕
