As most people know I support Hospice of Hope charity and go to Romania once a year to take terminally ill Romanian children and children with life limiting illnesses on holiday. This year my eldest daughter is also volunteering with me. The money I raise covers the cost of 5 children and myself and equipment that i take with me for activities. Hospice of Hope is the only charity providing support with palliative care in Eastern Europe, Romania, Moldova, Serbia, Greece, Ukraine to name a few.

As an example in Moldova over 28,000 people are in need of Hospice care every year, shockingly only 8per cent receive it, and if you live outsidet he capital Chisinau, the support is virtually non existent, with patients left in pain and no support or guidance. This is just one example

I have seen first hand the hard work and dedicated services Hospice of Hope provide. Iv been involved in the Charity which is local to me since 2015, iv been to Romania many times with the Charity and have been privileged to go on home visits, to the Hospice care centres, to help with children at the Seaside club summer holiday and more recently to help at holiday club day care in Brasov.

In 2023 on our return the other UK volunteers and myself managed to raise enough money to replace 3 wheelchairs which were not fit for purpose, feet dragging the ground, tied together, unable to be upright, so if I raise more than I need for the trip the money still provides much needed equipment.
