Story
Staff and pupils from St. Gregory's (Stratford upon Avon), Our Lady's (Alcester), St. Benedict's (Alcester), St. Mary's (Studley), St. Mary's (Henley), St. Mary's (Evesham) and St. Mary's (Broadway) need your help!
Between 02.06.25 and 18.07.25, staff and pupils from these seven schools within Our Lady of the Magnificat MAC will be working together to 'Row to Rome' in a pledge to raise money for Father Hudson's Caritas Charity.
In total, the target distance to be rowed is 1960 km. This is the distance from St. Benedict's Catholic High School to the Vatican.
Each school will have the rowing machines for one week within this period. The Primary Schools' target is to row 245km each, across the 5 school days they will have the machines. On the final week, the rowing machines will return to St. Benedict's, where students will have the challenge of rowing the final 490km.
Father Hudson's is the Social Care Agency of the Catholic Archdiocese of Birmingham. This charity's aim is to help and support to people in need, improving their quality of life. Their work focuses on five key areas: 'homelessness', 'disability', 'older people', 'children, families and schools' and 'refugees, migrants and asylum seekers'.
Please sponsor our staff and pupils, who will be working together, in solidarity, to 'Row to Rome' because they want to help those less fortunate than them.
