Story

We are taking on the Superhero Tri 2026 as a family alongside our wonderful son, Magnus!

Magnus attends White Lodge Nursery, where he receives specialist early-years care and tailored support for Cerebral Palsy and FoxP1 genetic syndrome. Since joining White Lodge, the difference in his confidence, happiness, and progress has meant the world to us. Their team of specialist staff and therapists provide a warm, nurturing environment where Magnus can play, learn, and grow at his own pace.

White Lodge has given Magnus—and our family—so much support, and taking part in this challenge is our way of giving something back!

The Superhero Tri (taking place on 15th August 2026 at Dorney Lake, Windsor) is a unique, fully inclusive triathlon designed to celebrate ability over disability.

The Challenge: Teams take on a swim, cycle, and run/walk.

The Rule: Every team must include at least one person with a disability, with friends and family taking part alongside as "Sidekicks." Magnus has a Superman outfit on the way from krypton.

White Lodge Centre is a charity dedicated to "enabling ability" for children, young people, and adults with physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and complex learning difficulties.

For over 60 years, White Lodge has provided vital services across Surrey, including:

Specialist Early-Years Nursery & Child Therapy (speech, physio, and occupational therapy).

Play & Youth Clubs for young people to make friends and build independence.

Short Breaks & Respite to support families and carers.

Adult Day Activities & Rehabilitation to promote lifelong independence.

They rely heavily on community support and donations to keep their specialist facilities and life-changing programs running for families like ours.

If you are able to donate—no matter how big or small—or simply share our page with friends and family, we would be incredibly grateful.

Thank you so much for backing Team Magnus!
