is taking part in JourneyMAA 2025

According to the World Health Organisation, women in Bangladesh are 21 times more likely to die from maternal causes compared to the UK.
I’ll be going on JourneyMaa in July 2025, on a 2 week trip to Sylhet, Bangladesh where I’ll be volunteering and providing medical aid at a number of health camps in deprived areas. To facilitate JourneyMaa, Maa has established strong links with local universities, doctors and healthcare students with the aim of providing long-term sustainable maternal care in rural areas of Bangladesh. Its role of preventative medicine is key to helping the lives of women, many of whom have little access to medical care and have never seen a healthcare professional in their lifetime.
Your donations will go towards medication and resources for the health camps and educational sessions on period poverty for young women, exemplifying Maa’s role in preventing generations of women having the same struggle. Your donations can actively change the situation of a helpless mother, an isolated young girl, or a newborn baby. To thank you for your incredible donations my social media is public & will be during this time & I’ll be showing you first hand where your donations are going as well as what an eye opening opportunity this experience is. Please support the campaign by donating generously and sharing my JustGiving page with your friends and family!
