Help me give something back: health, education and hope in Sri Lanka
As a father, I want my children to have the chance to learn, to receive care when they are unwell, and to grow up believing they have a future full of possibilities. I believe every parent should be able to hope for the same.
With my roots in Jaffna, supporting communities in Sri Lanka means a great deal to me. It is a way of staying connected to where I come from and turning that connection into something useful for others.
That is why I’m raising funds for Abayam a registered charity supporting hospitals and schools in Sri Lanka. Its work helps provide facilities, equipment and training to strengthen healthcare and education.
For me, this is about helping those people have the support they deserve. A child’s opportunities should not be limited by what their school lacks. A family’s hope should not depend on whether their local hospital has the resources it needs.
Please support my fundraiser with whatever you can comfortably give. There is no amount too small to be appreciated, and you do not need a personal connection to Sri Lanka to be part of this effort.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this page with friends, family or colleagues would also mean a great deal.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, for caring, and for helping me give something back.
With heartfelt thanks,
Mahinan
