Mai's fundraiser for Marie Curie

Three Peaks 2024 - Plymouth University · 2 July 2024 to 4 July 2024 ·
Britain's toughest outdoor challenge, taking on the highest mountains of England, Wales and Scotland as we summit Scafell Pike, Snowdon and Ben Nevis on an incredible hike. This challenge will see us climb 5,200 feet and trekking 25 miles through magnificent scenery with our fellow adventurers.
We have decided to take on this challenge for Marie Curie, the UK’s leading end of life charity. Marie Curie supports people affected by any terminal illness, such as dementia (including Alzheimer’s), motor neurone disease, Parkinson’s, heart diseases and advanced cancer.
Every five minutes someone in the UK dies without the care and support they need.
The average age that someone experiences their first bereavement is at 20 years old, meaning that for many people across the UK this may happen whilst at University.I first experienced a bereavement at 16 years old and it didn’t stop there. Knowing that Marie Curie is there for support if I ever did need it in my life gives encouragement that it would be bearable.
Last year my family and I lost a grandfather/father/brother/husband/cousin and much more due to a neurological illness and seeing what support as a family was achieved some families don’t have that luxury. And having a charity like Marie Curie to support you in your time of need is a blessing.
And with your help we can support them through it. I would appreciate anything donated as this means a lot to me thank you :)
