Story
Maidenhead Rock Choir, part of the UK's original, award-winning Rock Choir https://rockchoir.com is proud to support the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA). Last year, the profile of this devastating condition was raised by former England rugby star Kevin Sinfield, who ran in honour of his friend and teammate Rob Burrow.
Tragically, this rare and cruel disease has touched our Rock Choir family directly. Our dear member Irene, who has been a passionate part of our choir since 2018, was diagnosed with MND in May 2024. Despite this, Irene remains determined and continues to inspire us all with her strength and positivity. She’s a true fighter and intends to stay active in the choir for as long as she can. In light of this, we are rallying together to support Irene and others affected by MND.
Currently, there is no known cure and vital funds are needed to support both life-changing research and those living with or affected by this devastating condition. We are incredibly fortunate to have the MNDA East Berkshire Group right here in Maidenhead. The group provides a crucial support network for local individuals diagnosed with MND, as well as their families and carers.
All proceeds from our fundraising efforts will be donated to the East Berkshire MND Association Branch, ensuring that the support stays local and directly benefits those in our community.
Let’s all contribute something positive to this heart-breaking situation and raise as much money as possible. Together, we can make a difference!
