Story
Maidstone Riverside Rotary's Story.
This isn’t just a bike ride. It’s a journey through history, remembrance, and resilience.
Over two days, Richard from Maidstone Riverside Rotary, will be cycling from RBVE’s village in Aylesford, Kent to the poignant battlefields of Ypres, Belgium, the final resting place of thousands who gave everything for our freedom. Along with many other cyclists, he will finish at the Menin Gate and attend The Last Post ceremony. Richard was to be accompanied by Clive, also from Maidstone Riverside Rotary Club. Unfortunately, Clive will now be unable to take part this year due to a hospital operation. However, he plans to be part of next year's RBVE ride.
They will be riding in support of Royal British Veterans Enterprise, a charity that provides homes, jobs, and vital support to veterans and their families, many of whom are living with life-changing injuries, PTSD, & the long-term effects of service.
RBLI’s work is life-changing. They empower veterans and people with disabilities by creating jobs, providing homes, and building communities
Whether it’s £1 or £100, your donation will go directly to helping those who’ve given so much.
