I’m running my first ever marathon this October in Lisbon - and I’m doing it for my Dad.

This will be by far the biggest challenge I have ever set myself, both physically and mentally, but I’m taking it on to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK, a cause that’s now become deeply personal.

My dad has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer. Watching someone you love go through this is heartbreaking but it’s also motivated me to take action.

I want to raise awareness about this disease and help fund vital research that will lead us closer to better treatments and, one day, a cure. Every step I run will be for him - and for the 1 in 8 men who will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.

My dad has always been very fit & has run endless marathons himself. I can't say I will get anywhere near his time but I know I'll make him proud completing this challenge!
