Major Thrill Seekers!

On Saturday 27th September, the team at Major Recruitment will be taking on not one, but two thrilling challenges: A daring abseil down the iconic Cow and Calf rocks, followed by an epic Tyrolean Traverse, all in support of Maggie’s Centres.

We’re pushing ourselves out of our comfort zones (and quite literally off the edge of a cliff!) to raise vital funds for a cause that’s close to our hearts. Maggie’s Centres provide free cancer support and expert care to anyone affected by cancer, from patients and families to friends and carers.

Maggie’s is a beacon of hope for individuals and families affected by cancer, providing vital support across 24 centres throughout the UK. Their services are offered free of charge, ensuring that everyone, - whether currently battling cancer, a survivor, a family member, or a friend -can find solace and guidance in their time of need.

The dedicated team at Maggie’s includes professional cancer support specialists, psychologists, and benefits advisors who work tirelessly to help patients navigate the complexities of their diagnosis. Through personalized programmes tailored to individual needs, they empower those affected by cancer to face their challenges with strength and resilience.

As I prepare to participate in the Maggie's Yorkshire Abseil on September 27th, 2025, I am reminded of the long-term mission that drives this incredible organization: to ensure that every person living with cancer in the UK has access to expert emotional and practical support at all 60 NHS cancer centre hospitals.
