We are a partnership between University College London and Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital, Blantyre and have set up the first ever stroke unit in Malawi. As well as the unit, we are providing a complete stroke service including expert medical, nursing and therapy care from the point at which the patient enters the hospital, until after they are back at home.
Thorough assessment and simple interventions save lives and reduce disability.
