I am helping to raise funds for this amazing, volunteer ran, charity.

Spectrum Holidays was founded by Sophia and Malcolm who originally launched as a limited company back in 2019 following their experiences trying to find suitable holiday homes for their autistic son. After several years of offering their services, it became increasingly clear that what Spectrum Holidays offers is very much needed, particularly as neurodivergent people and their families can’t always access traditional holiday homes or holiday parks. Sophia and Malcolm also had many conversations with families that wanted to access their services but due to the care needs of their children, often took on unpaid carer roles which meant a drop in income. Sophia and Malcolm were keen to help and after meeting with their local voluntary support service, an application was submitted to the charity commission and accepted!

As a charity we now have a board of trustees that each bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table which will help shape the services we offer both now and in the future. We have some fantastic plans for our charity which will provide even more help to the people and families we support!

As we are a new charity (Est March 2023) we will be spending the first 12-15 months fundraising and accessing grants that will enable us to offer subsidised holidays to eligible people and families. In the meantime, we continue to welcome bookings in any of the holiday homes listed on our website.
