Story

As a proud Trustee of the Finish Line Fund I was delighted to of been chosen to receive a ballot place for the 2024 London Marathon in April and having already booked my place for the 2024 Edinburgh Marathon in May, this gives me a double incentive to raise funds for our charity.

The Finish Line Fund provides funding, equipment and sponsorship to amateur East Essex Sports bodies.

The tragic death of a local runner at the 2014 Southend Half Marathon was the catalyst for the formation of the Finish Line Fund and the charity has been able to make contributions to both sport and the community of which we are extremely proud.

In the summer of 2021 a defibrillator the charity was responsible for providing was used at Jubilee Beach, Southend in saving a lady's life.

We continue to fund many local amateur sports clubs with defibrillators, a host of different equipment, and for various event organisers we fund the cost of medical cover on race days.

Any donation you are able to help with will be hugely appreciated.
