We help the babies, children and young people treated at Scotland's largest children's hospital, the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow. We fund medical equipment, research, play programmes and family support services to ensure that our young patients receive the best possible care and experience.

Story

June 2021 I had to travel from Caithness to Aberdeen Maternity Hospital so my son could be brought into this world. Ralph was born on 16th June 2021 with spina bifida 2 days after he had to under go surgery due to this birth defect. Couple weeks later poor Ralph took a turn for the worst, was found out to be E coli meningitis. Ralph had to be flown down to Glasgow Royal Hospital for Children straight away....

From this point onwards Ralph went through months of recovery go in and out for surgery for treatment such as drains to clear the infection out his head, brain washes, 2 shunts and a Tracheotomy due to vocal cord paralysis.

4th June 2022 - sadly Ralph Robert McEwan passed away at Glasgow Royal Hospital for children....

In memory of my gorgeous little boy and to thank all the staff at the hospital for everything they did, myself along with a team of 7 friends will be running in the beast race at Banchory 10k obstacle course race on 21st September to raise money help support this great charity.
