Story
In March 2024 our brother Malcolm was diagnosed with a high grade glioma of which there was no treatment
He passed away peacefully with us Tina & Zoe,his sisters by his side on 9th June just 6 short weeks afterwards
This was like grenade going off in the middle of our family and we miss him terribly every single day
Malcolm worked for almost all his working life at Durdle Door Holiday Park, at Lulworth in Dorset. He was so much loved over there words cannot describe it and we as a family know that he’s missed by colleagues and friends alike. He really was ‘Mr Durdle Door’!!!
We were even granted permission for a memorial bench up there which we understand is greatly used.
It’s not until you join the “brain tumour family “ that you realise how prevalent they can be and how chronically underfunded they are.
We chose Brain Tumour Research as our chosen charity for Malc’s funeral because what they do is essential in the task of trying to find a reason for brain tumours and the development of better treatments for the future ,so other families don’t have to go through the same trauma as ours.
On MONDAY 12TH MAY 2025 on what should’ve been his 60th birthday we are hosting :
MALC’S BIG BIRTHDAY BASH at the MAN O’ WAR BAR @ DURDLE DOOR HOLIDAY PARK
This will include :
10am : Coffee, cake and chat
12pm :Lunch on us – pizza and chips
1pm :Quiz – written and hosted by Malc’s nephew Zach
