Malcolm

Hi, I'm Malcolm Orr. Originally from Lisburn but living in Dromore this past few years. I have 5 children (ranging from age 12 to 40!) and 2 grandchildren. This keeps me on my toes, which is handy for dancing (you'd think!!). I'm semi-retired but enjoying helping my eldest daughter, Melanie Bond, with bits & pieces for her new venture, a brand new fashion boutique in Dromore. I'm also a keen motorcyclist, planning a European trip soon! As a Christian, I enjoy worship music and have played guitar in different worship bands over the years. It's a privilege to be able to help raise funds for such a worthy cause and help out a local charity doing so much for my local community.

Shereen

Hi I'm Shereen Lyness, I am 51 nearly 52 (at end of month) and I’m from Newry. I celebrated 25years of marriage with my husband Darren Feenan in May 2023. I have two children Ethan 23years and Evie 19years. I am a Social Worker in Mental Health and just completed my Post Grad in Mental Health Law at Queens so I will be an Approved Social Worker.

I volunteer with my local GAA Club Clonduff, where I am the PRO. I also co-manage the Minor ladies football team and am the female liaison for the Senior Ladies football team. I love to bake in my spare time, especially homily bakes such as apple tarts, wheaten and fruit soda bread. With the odd pavlova, lemon meringue and toffee profiteroles on the side. Recently I started taking exercise classes that implement weights 3 times a week.

I am dancing for Via Wings as they are an amazing organisation who have been full of generosity and kindness towards me and the people who I work with. Without Via Wings support the people I work with would not have had the Christmas’ they had. The spread of joy and happiness Via Wings kindness has given those people has resonated with me and I wanted to give something back to Via Wings. Gail has been a wonderful guiding light to Via Wings and me over the years, her love and dedication to ensuring everyone is swathed in kindness has been the central point for me taking part in Strictly. I secretly also wanted to learn how to dance for years. I am thankful and appreciate this wonderful opportunity.
