Lewy body dementia is the second most common cause of age-related dementia, affecting around 130,000 people in the UK. We raise awareness of the disease, provide information to patients and carers, and fund research so that in future it can be more easily diagnosed and treated.

Story

In memory of our Husband,Dad and Grandad who sadly suffered with this terrible disease in the later part of his life. Passed away on the 26th January 2024 aged just 72.

As a family we have chosen Lewy Body Society for any kind donations in memory of Dad. They are doing great work for such a terrible disease that impacted not just our Dad but us as well mentally and physically. We lost our Dad to this disease many years before his physical death which was terrible to witness. He still had his humour and his beloved wife Michele our mum took fantastic care of him, and brought him so much peace and was his rock throughout it all.

Heartfelt thanks

Rebecca, Louisa and Dominic

(His children)

The Lewy Body Society was founded in 2006 to support research into Lewy body dementia and to raise awareness of the disease. We aim to educate the public, the medical professions and those in decision-making positions about the disease, which unfortunately is still not well known.
