Story
Every year across the UK, millions of people need legal advice. They include families at risk of eviction and homelessness, grown children trying to secure care for a loved one, and workers challenging discrimination by an employer. Too often, however, they are unable to access the support they need because they cannot afford it or do not know where to turn.
The Access to Justice Foundation (ATJF) is the only funder dedicated solely to increasing the availability of free legal support, advice and representation across the UK.
Join charities, firms, chambers and individuals from across the Greater Manchester legal sector as we come together for a sponsored walk to raise funds for the ATJF.
In recent years, the ATJF has been a key funder of some of Manchester’s core legal charities, providing over £2 million to organisations in the region, including:
Greater Manchester Immigration Aid Unit
Greater Manchester Law Centre
Citizens Advice Bury & Bolton
